As part of Whole Community Catechesis, the community is asked to pray and reflect on the question of the week by themselves and with family and/or friends. The question is based on the readings of the weekend and brings the community together in a common reflection and focus.

"Welcome to St. John Neumann Religious Formation. We look forward to a year of learning and growing in faith together. I am very excited to announce that this year we will be making Whole Community Catechesis the primary curriculum for the Religious Formation process here at St. John Neumann. I hope you have had an opportunity to read some of the articles by Fr. George, other staff members and myself about this process. The most exciting thing about Whole Community Catechesis is that it is for everyone, for all ages. For children the exciting thing is that they will be learning about and growing in faith together with the whole parish community. Each child will have very special sponsors, their own parent(s)."

Whole Community Catechesis, a new approach to religious formation, is becoming the main curriculum for both children and adults at St. John Neumann.

Packets of information were available to pick up on the weekend of August 13-14 and the ones that were not picked up have been mailed to parish households. Packets should arrive by Monday, August 22nd at the latest. This packet will give a good background about Whole Community Catechesis and the necessity to change to a religious formation model that includes and has as a priority, adult Catholics.
